Open To Grace Christian Yoga Community All Levels Yoga March 20th/ 21. Scripture: Jeremiah 33:14-18
We start our practice lying down and bringing our awareness to the presence of God The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit as we invite stillness and acknowledging the gift of life in this moment within us and surrounding us…God’s grace. We are assured of God’s perfect plan through the reading of Jeremiah’s prophesy of the constancy of God and His promises in Christ. In prayer we ask for a deeper understanding of the gift of grace through the loving obedience of Jesus who sacrificed himself for us, overcoming evil, sin and death by his death and resurrection. We pray for a deeper understanding of this depth of love from God and the price that Jesus paid to save us and give us hope in the now and future Kingdom of God.
In our warm up, we incorporate unstructured movement from a supine position, starting with each limb and inviting the body to join in. We then do core strengthening work and move to a prone position for sphinx pose, strengthening the spine and stretching the whole body. In our standing practice, we invite shoulder stretches and strengthening with the help of a yoga strap. Before moving to easy seated pose , we do tree pose for balance practice and to strengthen the legs, hips and core. Finding our seat we invite a flowing movement with the breath, circle of joy. We end our practice in supported bridge pose , moving to our final resting poses. After a brief rest, we close in prayer. Have a wonderful day. God loves you! Sandy 💛
