Open To Grace Christian Yoga Community Chair Yoga Class Mar 18th/ 21. Scripture Rom. 3: 22-24
We start today’s practice with a heart opener. Use a rolled up blanket or yoga block. After a reading of scripture and prayer we continue to spend some time in our pose to adore God as the teacher shares biblically based attributes of God. It is a time of drawing close to God’s heart before we invite movement and stillness to also be an offering. On the theme of opening the front body, we do some shoulder, upper back and neck stretches. We do some hip stretches and strengthening using windshield wiper movement, crescent pose variation and side angle pose. In our standing work we invite downward facing dog pose and child’s pose. Finding our seated position again we work into some twists for core strengthening. Finding our resting pose, a short prayer follows. We spend a few minutes in stillness and conclude with a final prayer! God Bless and have a great week! Sandy
